Having problems? - The first thing to try is to be sure you are running the most recent version. Check for application updates in the App Store or in iTunes to see if a more recent version is available.
:) Sudoku + is forgetting my game in progress under iOS 6? Older versions of :) Sudoku + have a problem with iOS 6 that sometimes causes the app to lose track of a game in progress when you exit the app. This problem is fixed in version 5.1.
:) Sudoku should offer more puzzles each day - Purchase our paid version, :) Sudoku +, or try our free ad supported version, Sudoku Joy, to be able to play unlimited games.
Why don't you do ________? - We constantly get feature requests for features we already have. You should look at the settings page. There probably already is a setting to do what you want. If we overlooked some feature, feel free to send us feedback asking for it.
My pencil marks suddenly got larger? Go to Settings and set Pencil Marks to Square. Then set Pencil Marks to small, and after that they should stop changing size. This problem is fixed in version 5.1.
I found a puzzle with no solution or two solutions? - Every puzzle in Enjoy Sudoku is a valid Sudoku puzzle with a single solution that can be determined with logic alone. People often tell us that they found a puzzle with no solution or two solutions. However, when they send us a screenshot of the puzzle, it invariably turns out that they have made a mistake somewhere and the puzzle has exactly one solution.
If you get to a point where you think the puzzle has no solution, double check your existing entries carefully. It's fairly common to accidentally enter an incorrect digit early on in the solving process, and not notice a problem until much later. If you can't see the problem you can use Check Entries or ask for a hint, either of which will normally tell you where you've made a mistake.
If there aren't any mistakes, you can use "Show Solution", on the hint menu, to see the solution to the puzzle. Alternatively, you can step through the solving steps using hints to see the full logical sequence.
Another very common mistake is an incorrect identification of a deadly rectangle which appears to indicate that the puzzle has two solutions. Remember, a deadly rectangle must have cells in only two blocks and none of the cells can be clues. If you cannot figure out what's going on, get a screenshot of the puzzle and send it to us.
My device was replaced or reset and I can't find your app? - As long as you are using an iOS device and have the same iTunes store account, you can download a fresh copy for free. Launch the app store, pick the Updates tab, select Purchased, search for :) Sudoku +, and press the cloud-with-down-arrow icon.
My copy exits right after starting - There are a couple of things you can try. First, try turning your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch completely off (hold down the lock button for 10 seconds and slide to confirm power down) and then turn it back on. If that doesn't solve the problem, make sure you have the most recent version of iOS. Then find the icon for :) Sudoku, :) Sudoku +, or Sudoku Joy on the homepage, press and hold on the icon until all of the icons start wiggling, press the "x" at the top left of the icon, confirm that you do want delete the app. Then launch the app store, pick the Updates tab, select "Purchased", locate the app in your purchased list, and press the cloud-with-down-arrow icon. If none of that works, you could try restoring the device from a backup.
